Described is a process using a no-rinse technique for the production of a chromium-free conversion layer on the surface of aluminum and its alloys by treating with an aqueous solution having a pH between 1 and 3.5 and containing titanium and/or zirconium plus an organic film-forming agent. The process is characterized in that the surface is brought into contact with a solution containing a) 2.2 to 22.0 g/l of Zr(IV) and/or 1.4 to 14.0 g/l of Ti(IV), b) 2.4 to 24.0 g/l of orthophosphate, c) 3.0 to 30.0 g/l of fluoride, d) 0.15 to 1.5 g/l of a water-soluble or homogeneously water-dispersible organic film former and, after a contact time between 1 and 40 seconds, the wet surface is allowed to dry, without rinsing, at a temperature between 50 and 125 °C. Also described are aqueous concentrates for use in the process.
L'invention concerne un procédé qui permet de produire des couches de conversion sans chrome sur des surfaces d'aluminium et de ses alliages, en faisant appel à une technique sans rinçage, par traitement avec des solutions aqueuses ayant un pH compris entre 1 et 3,5, qui contiennent du titane et/ou du zirconium, ainsi que des agents filmogènes. Ce procédé se caractérise en ce que les surfaces sont mises en contact avec des solutions contenant: a) entre 2,2 et 22,0 g/l de Zr(IV) et/ou entre 1,4 et 14,0 g/l de Ti(IV), b) entre 2,4 et 24,0 g/l d'orthophosphate, c) entre 3,0 et 30,0 g/l de fluorure, d) entre 0,15 et 1,5 g/l d'un agent filmogène organique soluble dans l'eau ou dispersible de manière homogène dans l'eau. Après un temps d'action compris entre une et 40 secondes, les solutions sont séchées sans rinçage à une température comprise entre 50 et 125 ~C. L'invention concerne en outre les concentrés aqueux s'utilisant dans ce procédé.
