AN ALLOY FOR A NOZZLE PLATE FOR SPINNING GLASS FIBERS Abstract of the Disclosure An alloy for a nozzle plate for spinning glass fibers which consists essentially of between 82 and 92 percent by weight platinum, between 3 and 10 per cent by weight gold, and between 3 and 12 per cent by weight palladium, is disclosed. This alloy displays an excellent resistance to wetting by molten glass, a superior machinability, and a superior durability.
