HOE 90/F 031 Abstract of the disclosure .alpha.,.omega.-Chlorosilazanes, and a process for their preparation The invention relates to a process for the preparation of .alpha.,.omega.-chlorosilazanes which comprises reacting an oligo- hydridoorganylsilazane of the formula [-RSiH-NH-]n in which n is from about 3 to about 12 with at least one of the chlorosilanes R1HSiCl2, R2R3SiCl2, R4SiCl3, Cl2R5SiCH2CH2SiR5Cl2 and Cl3SiCH2CH2SiR6Cl2 where R is C1-C6- alkyl or C2-C6-alkenyl and, independently of one another, R1-R5 are H, C1-C6-alkyl or C2-C6-alkenyl, at from -20°C to +50°C. In addition, the invention relates to the novel .alpha.,.omega.-chlorosilazanes obtainable by this process.
