ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE New and useful steroids of the pregnane series and compositions therefor and disclosed of the formula:- Image (I) wherein R1 is selected from the group consisting of H, F. OH, and OR2, and R2 is carbacyl of one to eighteen carbon atoms, which steroids exhibit useful pharmacological utility, to wit, progestational and/or ovulation-inhibiting activity. Process of producing these compounds are also disclosed.
