L'invention concerne une composition tinctoriale pour fibres kératiniques, contenant dans un milieu appro- prié pour la teinture de ces fibres, au moins un précur- seur de colorant d'oxydation para et/ou ortho en associa- tion avec au moins un coupleur hétérocyclique répondant à la formule: Image dans laquelle R1 désigne un atome d'hydrogène ou un radi- cal alkyle en C1-C4; R2 désigne un atome d'hydrogène, un radical alkyle inférieur en C1-C4, un radical carboxyle ou un radical alcoxycarbonyle; R3 désigne un atome d'hydro- gène ou d'halogène, un radical alkyle intérieur en C1-C4, un radical carboxyle, un radical alcoxycarbonyle ou un radical formyle; X désigne un atome d'hydrogène, un radi- cal alkyle en C1-C4, un atome d'halogène, un radical alkoxy en C1-C4, un groupement acétylamino ou dialkyle (C1-C4) aminométhyle; au moins l'un des groupements X, R1, R2, R3 étant différent de l'hydrogène; ou l'un de ses sels. La composition selon l'invention permet d'obtenir, après application sur les fibres kératiniques et en parti- culier les cheveux, des teintures présentant des résistan- ces à la lumière, aux lavages, aux intempéries et à la transpiration, particulièrement remarquables.
