In portable water distillers, the water is boiled in a tank by means of an electric heating element. The steam released is cooled by a coil to obtain pure water. The boiling water tanks are not insulated, resulting in loss of heat and performance. In this invention, an insulating jacket has been designed for tanks in portable water distillers. The tank is insulated by means of a plastic heat-resistant insulating jacket to prevent the loss of heat from the boiling water in the tank.
