A method for controlling a viscous heater for a vehicle. The vehicle has an engine, an engine cooling system for heating coolant, a passage, a radiator and the viscous heater. The radiator heats the passage using heat from the coolant. The viscous heater uses the driving force of the engine to heat the coolant separately from the engine cooling system. The method includes a step of cutting off the transfer of the driving force of the engine to the viscous heater when the engine is being started. The method also includes a step of transferring the driving force of the engine to the viscous heater when the engine is running.
Méthode servant à commander l'appareil de chauffage visqueux d'un véhicule équipé d'un moteur, d'un circuit de refroidissement du moteur permettant de chauffer le liquide de refroidissement, d'un passage, d'un radiateur et d'un appareil de chauffage visqueux. Le radiateur chauffe le passage avec la chaleur provenant du liquide de refroidissement. L'appareil de chauffage visqueux utilise la force motrice du moteur pour chauffer le liquide de refroidissement indépendamment du circuit de refroidissement. La méthode comprend une étape consistant à bloquer le transfert de la force motrice du moteur à l'appareil de chauffage visqueux lorsque le moteur démarre. La méthode comprend également une étape consistant à transférer la force motrice du moteur à l'appareil de chauffage visqueux lorsque le moteur tourne.
