A method of generating a manufacturing process for producing an assembly and a computer system or systems implementing the method. The method generally includes the steps of: designing at least one assembly to be produced having at least two components to be engaged to one another such that the area where the components are to be engaged thereby defines at least one contact area; generating a representation, typically a three-dimensional representation, of the assembly; assigning a unique identifier to each individual component of the assembly or, when a group of more than one identical components is utilized in the assembly, assigning identical unique identifiers to each component of the group, thereby identifying each component as identical; assigning manufacturing instructions to the contact area; and generating manufacturing instructions for the manufacturing process based at least in part on the identifier and the contact area.
L'invention concerne un procédé de génération d'un processus de fabrication pour la production d'un ensemble et un système ou des systèmes informatiques mettant en application le procédé. Le procédé comprend, d'une manière générale, les étapes consistant à concevoir au moins un ensemble à produire présentant au moins deux composants à assembler mutuellement, de telle manière que la zone dans laquelle les composants sont assemblés définisse ainsi au moins une zone de contact; à générer une représentation, typiquement une représentation tridimensionnelle de l'ensemble; à affecter un identifiant unique à chaque composant individuel de l'ensemble ou, lorsqu'un groupe de plus d'un composant identique est utilisé dans l'ensemble, à affecter les identifiants identiques uniques à chaque composant du groupe, identifiant ainsi chaque composant comme étant identique; à affecter des instructions de fabrication à la zone de contact; et à générer des instructions de fabrication pour le processus de fabrication basées au moins en partie sur l'identifiant et la zone de contact.
