ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Process in a paper machine for detaching a paper web from the forming wire, and for conducting the web to the press section, a transfer suction box being utilized in the procedure, the process comprising the steps of conducting the web to the detaching point upon the forming wire, conducting a transfer felt to the detaching point, within the loop of which the transfer suction box is disposed, conducting the transfer felt over the transfer suction box, the transfer suction box being disposed adjacent to or close to a wire return roll loca- ted within the wire loop, and conducting the web adhered onto the transfer felt into a double-felted press nip.
