ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides a slidable type constant velocity universal joint comprising an outer member having an inner diameter cylindrical surface provided therein, an inner member having an outer diameter spherical surface, and a cage member mounted on the inner member and having an inner diameter spherical surface and an outer diameter spherical surface which are eccentric with respect to each other. The cage member has a plurality of apertures formed therein with a plurality of balls mounted in the respective apertures. The respective balls are in engagement with corresponding respective pairs of longitudinal directional guide grooves which are provided in mutually facing surfaces of the outer member and the inner member. An annular guide member having an inner spherical surface and an outer cylindrical surface is interposed between and slidably engages the outer cylindrical surface of the cage member and the inner cylindrical surface of the outer member.
