Abstract of the Disclosure: A torque transmitting device for a power trans- mission having a higher torque capacity, in one rotational direction, has a one-way drive device in series torque trans- mitting relation with a multi-disc friction device so that in one rotational direction of torque transmission, both the one-way device and the friction device transmit torque. A single plate friction device is disposed in parallel drive relation with the one-way device so that, on torque reversal, the single plate device only transmits torque. A single piston is pressurized to simultaneously engage both friction devices.
