A B S T R A C T There is provided novel N-substituted spirolactams of the formula: Image wherein R is hydrogen or a saturated or unsaturated lower aliphatic radical and n is 4, 5 or 6. These compounds are useful in the treatment of certain cerebral and spinal diseases and are also effective geriatric drugs.
