PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION L'invention concerne le domaine de l'absorption des composants acides des mélanges gazeux par lavage à l'aide d'un solvant. Elle a trait particulièrement à l'utilisation comme solvant d'un alkyl amino 2 éthanol de formule: R - HN - CH2 - CH2 - OH où R représente un radical alkyl de C à C6 compris, les constituants acides étant par rapport à l'alkyl amino 2 éthanol dans un rapport molaire compris entre 0,7 et 1,2, la solution d'amine ayant une concentration en amine totale de 0,5 à 6 moles par litre, la mise en contact s'effectuant à une température comprise entre 40°C et 60°C. Ce solvant est particulièrement adapté au traitement des hydrocarbures gazeux naturels et des gaz de raffineries.
