A B S T R A C T This invention consists of a crutch which is adjust- able in length to suit the user, and which can be compacted into about half its normal length when not in use. The crutch is made in two sections, one of which slides within the other, telescopically. A pin which is attached to the inside of the outer tube, located near the bottom thereof, and which slides within spaced, downwardly inverted "L"-shaped grooves running longitudinally on the face of the inner tube, thus locking the two tube sections together when a downward pressure is applied to the top of the crutch. The crutch is also provided with an under arm padded support at its top, a rubber pad at its bottom end, an arm support where required, and an adjustable handle for holding the crutch with the hand.
