ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Phosphorus organosilane esters of tertiary alcohols, having the general formula: Image wherein R is a tertiary alkyl radical, R' which may be identical or different is an alkyl radical having from 1 to 8 carbon atoms, A is a bivalent alkylene group, a = 0 or 1, and b = 0, 1 or 2, with the proviso that a + b does not exceed 2. These compounds are prepared by reacting an alkenyl silicon ester of the general formula I: Image (I) wherein R, R', a and b have the aforesaid meanings, with a dialkyl phosphite of general formula II: H? (OR')2 (II) wherein R' has the above meaning, in the presence of an initia- tor. These new compounds have properties which exceed those of the known phosphorus organosilane esters. They are in parti- cular very stable with respect to hydrolysis.
