ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to acellular vaccines which comprise a combination of (a) the ribosomal fraction of at least one strain of pathogenic bacteria corresponding to the infection to be treated or prevented; and (b) the saccharide fraction extracted from at least one bacterial strain selected from the genera Klebsiella, Serratia and Corynebacterium. The invention also covers methods of preparing the novel vaccines and the prevention and treatment of infections, more particularly infections of respiratory passages, involving the use of the novel vaccines.
