ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A valve convertor phase control device comprises a control signal forming unit, a reference signal unit, a sawtooth signal generator, a differential comparator, a phase limiting unit, a control pulse generator, and a pulse distributor. Two inputs of the differential comparator are connected to the control signal forming unit and to the output of the sawtooth signal generator, while the output of the differential comparator is connected through the phase limiting unit to the input of the control pulse generator. Pulses whose phase is determined by said control signal are formed at the output of the control pulse generator. Control pulses are fed through the pulse distributor to the convertor valves. The sawtooth signal generator has two inputs, the first of which is connected to the output of the control pulse generator and ensures that the sawtooth signal generator is in step with the network supplying current to the valve convertor and the other input of the sawtooth signal generator is connected, through a function generator, to the input of the control pulse forming unit and provides for a sawtooth signal transconductance curve. The phase control device ensures that the operation parameters of the valve convertor precisely correspond to preset values and makes it highly effective in transient operating conditions.
