ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE In an apparatus for reproducing disc record on which a PCM (pulse code modulation) signal is recorded with a constant line velocity, the apparatus including a differential circuit for differentiating a reproduced PCM signal, a peak detector for detecting the peak value of a differentiated signal, a comparator for comparing the peak value of the differentiated signal with a reference voltage to produce a control signal, and a motor drive circuit for driving a motor so as to rotate the disc record at a constant line velocity in response to the control signal upon repro- ducing.
