Abstract of the Disclosure Novel N,N'-bis [(alkylhydroxyphenyl)alkanoyloxy- hydrocarbyl]oxmaides which can be prepared by reacting an alkylhydroxyphenylalkanoic acid, an ester or anhy- dride thereof or a corresponding acid halide with an N,N' -bis (hydroxyhydrocarbyl) oxaminde, are useful as sta- bilizers of organic materials normally subject to oxida- tive deterioration, e.g. polymers such as poyolefins. Methods of stabilizing organic materials subject to oxi- dative deterioration and stabilized organic materials with N,N'-bis (alkylhydroxyphenyl)alkanoyloxyhydrocarbyl) oxamides are provided.
