CONTAINER WITH LOCKING LID ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A rectangular container having a pair of cover por- tions which are hinged to one pair of opposed side walls of the container and which meet when closed with the lateral free edges of the cover portions engaging the other pair of opposed side walls of the container. The meeting edge of each cover portion carries a flange which depends downwardly into the container when the cover is closed, each flange carrying inter- spaced lugs and recesses, the lugs of one depending flange being receivable in the recesses of the other depending flange when the cover is closed.
