PRECIS DE LA DIVULGATION : La présente invention concerne un procédé d'extrac- tion liquide/liquide du gallium contenu dans des solutions aqueuses basiques. Selon l'invention, on met en contact la solution aqueuse avec une phase organique contenant principale- ment un solvant organique, au moins une hydroxy-8 quinoléine substituée et au moins un composé organique comportant au moins une fonction acide carboxylique. Le procédé est particu- lièrement applicable à la récupération du gallium des lessives d'aluminate de sodium du procédé BAYER.
