ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE Compounds of the following general structure are use- ful as antirhinovirus agents: Image wherein Y Is a bond, oxygen or divalent sulfur; X is oxy- gen or sulfur; R is a straight or branched hydrocarbon chain having from 6 to 20 carbon atoms and is saturated or unsaturated having from 1 to 4 double bonds when R has from 10 to 20 carbon atoms and l or 2 double bonds when R has from 6 to 9 carbon atoms; and R, is hydrogen or a straight or branched alkyl group of from 1 to 4 carbon atoms; with the proviso that when Y is a bond the R-Y group is attached at the 4- or 5- position of the hetero- cycltc ring.
