ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The specification describes a method of preparing a sulfated alkoxylated polyglycerol, said method comprising reacting (1) a polyglycerol having 2 to 15 glycerol units with (2) an alpha olefin epoxide of the general formula Image wherein R is an alkyl group containing from about 8 to 16 carbon atoms, and then reacting the resulting product with a sulfating agent. ss/
