ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An injectable pharmaceutical composition comprises fine particles of amoxycillin trihydrate coated with a dispersing agent, the ratio of amoxycillin trihydrate to dispersing agent being from 1000 : 1 to 20: 1. A preferred dispersing agent is a mixture of polyvinylpyrrolidone and lecithin. Such compositions give surprising prolonged blood levels of amoxycillin in mammals.
