ABSTRACT The invention relates to apparatus for electrically connecting groups or bundles of wires to each other by means of a connector which has a plurality of slotted plate terminals therein arranged in a row. The apparatus comprises means for holding the connector and wire guide means for locating the wires in alignment with the terminals of the connector. The wires are trimmed and inserted into the slots of the terminals by means of an inserter in the form of a roller, a slide or a sector, which is moved through a working stroke extending parallel to the row of terminals. The inserter is grooved to receive the terminals.
