ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: An apparatus for use in measuring changes in gravitatio al force. The apparatus has a balance member and means for mounting the balance member in a balanced, generally horizontal position about a pivot point. The balance member is made from materials having different densities with one material in the member on one side of the pivot point and the other material on at least the other side of the pivot point. The balance member and mounting means are mounted in a self-leveling container.
