ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A display device for three variables such as hours, minutes, and seconds comprises an electro-optical display system with radical bar electrodes on one face and two segmental ring electrodes on the opposite face. Groups of bar electrodes form sectors of the display and cooperate with an inner segment and an outer segment for each sector and the bar electrodes of one sector are connected directly in reverse order to the bar electrodes of another sector. An electronic drive circuit selects a bar electrode and one or both of the associated segment electrodes and is constructed to change the order of selection of the bars in accordance with the sector selected, thereby compensating for the reverse order of the connections. - 1 -
