ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A reinforcing filler for silicone rubber is produced by the anionic polymerisation of styrene with divinylbenzene cross- linking agent. The polymerisation is terminated with an agent which reacts with the polymer to produce groups which are reactive with silicone rubber-during cure. Suitable terminating agents include hexamethyltrisiloxane and allyl dimethylchlorosilane.
