ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Load cell construction for measuring the roller force in a rolling mill and located below the lower supporting roller bearing housing of the rolling mill. It comprises a load cell and pressure distribution blocks and the pressure distribution block arranged on the load cell is provided on its upper side with a rocker or cradle, turned upside down, a pressure plate arranged on the under side of the bearing housing making contact with the upper, convex surface of the rocker or cradle.
