IMPROVED ELECTRODE STRUCTURE FOR HIGH PRESSURE SODIUM VAPOR LAMPS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An electrode structure for a high pressure sodium vapor lamp has a molybdenum wire coil wound around a tungsten shank to replace the customary all-tungsten electrode structure in such lamps. The improved electrode structure provides increased initial lumens with acceptable lumen maintenance.
