Title Flavone derivatives Abstract New flavone derivatives of general formula: Image (I) wherein R and R1 can be the same or different and are selected from alkyl containing 1 to 4 carbon atoms, hydroxyalkyl having 1-4 carbon atoms, formylalkyl or cyanoalkyl, R2 and R3 could be the same or different and are selected from straight or branched alkyl containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, straight or branched-chain alkenyl containing 2 to 6 carbon atoms, alkynyl containing 2 to 6 carbon atoms, cycloalkyl having 5-7 carbon atoms, aralkyl, phenyl, cyanoalkyl, haloalkyl, mono- or poly-hydroxyalkyl, mono-alkoxyalkyl, alkylthioalky, alkylsulfonylalkyl, mono-acyloxyalkyl, acylalkyl, and straight or branched-chain R4R5N-alkyl having 2-6 carbon atoms, wherein R4 and R5 are equal or different and are selected from hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, phenyl, 3,3-diphenylpropyl, or alternatively form, together with the nitrogen atom, a saturated or unsaturated 4-7 membered ring containing other heteroatoms such as O, N or an NR6 group wherein R6 is alkyl, their optical isomers and diastereoisomers, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. The compounds of general formula (I) exhibit a calcium-antagonistic activity and/or a smooth muscle relaxing activity (particularly in the bladder).
