Abstract of the Disclosure: -N-substituted 2-methylnaph- thylamides of the general formula 1 Image . where R is an unsubstituted or substituted furyl, isoxazo- lyl, oxazolyl, isothiazolyl, thiazolyl, 1,2,?-oxadiazol-3- yl, 1,2,4-thiadiazol-3-yl, 1,2,4-thiadiazol-5-yl, 1,2.5- thiadiazol-3-yl, 1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl or C1-C5-alkyl radical, or the group -CH2-Y-R1, where Y is oxygen or sulfur and R1 is C1-C6-alkoxyethyl or C1-C6-alkoxyethoxy- ethyl, or R is C2-C5-alkenyl, C2-C5-alkynyl. C1-C5-alkoxy, C1-C5-alkoxycarbonyl or C3-C7-cycloalkyl, and fungicides containing these compounds.
