ABSTRACT This invention relates to a scoop or ladle for removing ice particles from holes drilled in the ice covering lakes and rivers thus allowing the easy intro- duction of a fishing line or other relatively light objects in the lake or river. The scoop or ladle com- prises an elongated tubular member having a perforated member attached thereto in such a manner that it is moveable between an horizontal position to a vertical position. The scoop or ladle further comprises means for effecting such movement.
