FLUID COMPRESSOR WITH ROTATIONAL SPEED DETECTING DEVICE ABSTRACT The invention relates to a fluid compressor which includes a mechanism for detecting the number of the rotations of the com- pressing element. Magnetic flux, which leaks from an electromagnetic clutch through a main drive shaft to an asymmetric rotating member, is sensed by a magnetic pickup which is mounted and supported adja- cent the rotation locus of the asymmetric rotating member in the housing.
