ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An auger [17, 27; 117, 127] in a self- propelled snow removing machine [1; 100] including a running mechanism [13] drivable by an engine [10; 10'], and a snow blower [23, 24] for discharging snow collected by the auger [17, 27; 117, 127], comprises an auger cover [19] disposed on a front portion of the snow removing machine, an auger output shaft [17; 117] disposed transversely in the auger cover and drivable by the engine, and at least one blade [27, 28; 127, 128] mounted on the auger output shaft and having an outer peripheral edge forming a substantially continuous helix around the auger output shaft. The blade [27; 127] comprises a plurality of mutually separate fins [27a; 127a] having outer peripheral edges jointly forming the helix and made of a resilient steel material.
