A B S T R A C T NON-POLARIZABLE ELECTRODE A non-polarizable electrode is disclosed for use with an induced polarization logging tool. The electrode is formed from a chloridized silver rod disposed in a flexible cylindrical housing filled with saturated KCl and AgCl electrolyte. The electrode is sealed in the housing having one end formed by a porous frit to provide electrical contact with the borehole fluid. The flexible housing equalizes fluid pressure across the frit and prevents poisoning of the electrode by mud components.
