ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present process for the generation of aerosols for the scintigraphic measurement of regional pulmonary ventilation entails a radioactively labeled substance, preferably a Tc-99m complex, being introduced into a nebulizing chamber (5) and nebilized with an ultrasonic vibrator (3). The carrier substance used in the radio- actively labeled substance is a colloid from human serum albumin which has an irregular surface structure but also an approximately uniform particle size. The aerosol gene- rated in this way is breathed through an inhalation tube (9). The wall of the nebulizing chamber (5) is at least partly designed as a vibrating diaphragm and has a wall thickness between 0.02 mm and 0.03 mm. (Figure 1)
