FILL LEVEL INDICATOR FOR A COMBINE GRAIN TANK Abstract of the Disclosure To indicate the level of grain in a combine grain tank, a sensor vane is coupled with a magnetic reed switch and a signal at the operator station. The vane depends from a pivot support having an effective pivot axis approximately perpendicular to the line of slope of the adjacent grain in the tank. The principal surface of the sensor vane is a flat plane parallel to its pivot, but rearwardly extending skirt pieces, one on each side of the vane, discourage grain from flowing into the area behind the vane and inhibiting its pivoting and sensing action.
