ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE 1,3-Dihydro-2H-imidazol-2-ones having 5-acyl and 4-oxymethyl substituents, are useful as cardiotonics, antihypertensives and antithrombotic agents. The com- pounds are obtained by the reaction of an appropriate alcohol or a silver salt with a substituted 4-bromonte- thyl-1,3-dihydro-2H-imidazol-2-one.
