ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Herein is described a process for preparing 3-(1-propyl-3-piperidinyl)- phenol by reacting 2-(3-methoxyphenyl)-5-phenoxy-N-propylpentanamine with a solution of hydrogen bromide, acetic acid and water. 3-(1-Propyl-3-piper- idinyl)-phenol is useful as a dopamine receptor stimulant.
