ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of vaccination of a pig against swine dysentery caused by T.hyodysenteriae infection, is characterised by parenteral, preferably intramuscular, administration to the pig of a live strain or an oxygen-treated, non-viable strain of T.hyodysenteriae. A vaccine composition is also disclosed.
