ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A clip for hanging clothes or other articles on a con- ventional wire hanger or other rod-shaped article includes a pair of arms with opposed jaws at the front end thereof, and a hinge interconnecting the arms so that the arms converge toward the jaw end of the clip, the hinge including a pair of aligned loops of different diameters, i.e. contiguous loops with parallel axes, the rear loop being smaller than the front loop and opening into the front loop, the rear loop functioning as a spring and the front loop having a slot in the front end, whereby the crossbar of a clothes hanger or another rod-shaped article can be introduced into the hinge to enter the front or rear loop for suspending the clip. A spring can be inserted between the rear ends of the arms for biasing the jaws to the closed position.
