N-Substituted polyalkylpiperidine-4-spirooxazolidones Abstract of the Disclosure Compounds of the formulae Ia and Ib Image (Ia) (Ib) wherein n is 1 or 2, R1 is an aliphatic or aromatic acyl radical, carbamoyl radical or -CH2CN, and R2, R3, R4 and R5 are as defined in claim 1, have a much lower basicity than corresponding known compounds, in which R1 is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon radical, but have at least as good a light stabilising action as the known compounds. This is a substantial advantage for specific substrates.
