SUSPENSION-TYPE POULTRY DRINKING FOUNTAIN ABSTRACT OF THE DLSCLOSURE A suspended-type poultry drinking fountain comprises a hanger assembly including a stem adapted to be supported in a vertical position by suspension from its upper end, and a bowl supported by the hanger assembly and containing a water trough for receiving water to be made available for drinking by the poultry. The hanger assembly includes a horizontal, annular, resilient gasket circumscribing the stem, and a valve housing having a water inlet, a water outlet, and a hollow conduit member therebetween and dis- posed to overly the annular gasket. The fountain further includes a spring mounting the valve housing to the stem such that the weight of the water in the water trough com- presses the spring to draw the hollow conduit member towards the annular gasket and thereby to automatically maintain a predetermined level of water in the water trough.
