Abstract A hydraulic safety brake valve arrangement for a motor (1) that is loadable by an external force (F) comprises a main valve (115). It forms a first throttling point (118) in the supply motor conduit (5b) and a second throttling point (119) in the delivery motor conduit (6b). The openings of both throttling points (118, 119) change in the same sense. At least during braking operation, they depend on the flow (C) through the first throttling point (118). The second throttling point (119) is in series with a compensating valve (116) which holds the pressure drop at the second throttling point (119) constant. Further, the connection (24) of the second throttling point (119) on the container side can be connected by way of a refill check valve (25) to the connection (21) of the first throttling point (118) on the motor side. This results in a constant deceleration under the influence of the external load. In addition, cavitation effects are avoided. Fig. 2
