"Process and device for the swivelling of a flexible printing plate on the plate cylinder of a printing press" A B S T R A C T A process and a device for register correction by the swivelling of a flexible printing plate on the plate cylinder of a printing press are proposed, in which the printing plate is disposed on the plate cylinder such as to be swivellable about a plate centre of rotation, apparatuses being provided in the press for adjustments to the circumferential and side registers. The process is characterized in that a final register correction to the printed image by turning the plate after one specimen print is effected such that, first of all, the data of the register deviation of a defined register point are established in circumferential and/or side and/or angular position. Subsequently, the necessary adjusting operations for the turning of the plate as well as for the correction of the circumferential and side registers are initiated, the adjusting commands - in addition to the previously established data - taking account also of the position of the plate centre of rotation of the associated device.
