Abstract What is described herein is a process of making an inlaid decorative flooring product which includes forming a liquid decorative coating mixture comprising a liquid resinous polymer composition and decorative particles, said particles constituting about 0.1 to 50% by weight of said mixture; casting said mixture onto a substrate to form a substantially smooth, uniform liquid decorative coating thereon; heating said coating to solidify said liquid into amatrix around said particles in which substantially all of said particles are positioned below the surface of said coating; and applying a wear layer.
