ABSTRACT The production of thermoplastics by polymerization of olefins in the presence of light metal non-ferrous metal or alloys thereof by means of a heterogenous Ziegler-Natta catalyst is taught. Preferably, the polyolefin is crosslinked in regions thereof adjacent the metal particles. The product resins can be employed either alone or as a component of a polyblend with other polymers for the purpose of achieving heat removal with simultaneous electrical insulation in electronic and electrical engineering applications.
