Abstract of the Disclosure Before a synchronous machine is connected with a line, the set value of a voltage setter is controlled so that the difference between the line voltage and the set value of the voltage setter is decreased to zero, and a field current is then controlled so that the difference between the set value and the output voltage of the synchronous machine is decreased to zero, thereby parallel-connecting the synchronous machine with the line.
