ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE N-(Benzamidosulfenyl)-N-methylcarbamic acid halides of the formula: Image wherein R1 is C1-C10alkyl, X is halogen, and each of X1, X2 and X3 is hydrogen, halogen, C1-C4 alkyl or C1-C4 haloalkyl. These compounds find use as intermediates in the preparation of carba- mates containing an Image group which are useful as pesticides.
